Here are a few tips designed to help you improve the number of bookings taken at your studio.
Build a website –
It is very important for a studio to have a professionally designed website. A
website is a great advertising tool that can open up your studio to a worldwide
audience. It is vital that the website is of good quality or you are just going
to be driving customers away.
Artist Recordings
– Record a few bands/artists and have their recordings up on your newly
designed website. What do artists look for in a studio? Somewhere they can get
a good quality recording. Examples of
your work will provide potential clients with something to go by when hopefully
choosing your studio.
Social Networking
– One of the greatest phenomenon’s to hit the recording industry. Get your name
out there on Twitter/Facebook/Myspace. Tell the people who you’ve been recording,
list special promotional offers at your studio and connect with other studios
and musicians who can help you to grow.
Word Of Mouth
Promotion – Make sure any artists you have already recorded spread the word
of your studio. This may not sound that important, but trust me there is
nothing better than face-to-face recommendation!
Newspaper/Magazine
ads – Take out a small advertisement in a local Newspaper or magazine.
These adverts are surprisingly cheap and can provide you with some nice,
affordable advertisement.
Other avenues –
Gumtree, record shops and any sort of shops/outlets where young people will go.
Think outside the box because you never know where and when somebody may want a
music studio.
StudioBookers gives musicians the opportunity to search for
suitable studios and allows the studio’s to gain additional clients, all in one
simple space.
