I don’t think a day will go by when you won’t see Fearne on
your TV or hear her blasting out of your Radio. She is one of the most popular
presenters on UK Television and Radio and since bursting onto the scene as one
of the host of GMTV’s ‘The Disney Club’ in 1997 at the tender age of 17, she
has gone on to appear in such shows as Children In Need, Top Of The Pops and
Celebrity Juice to name but a few.
Making the jump from Childrens television (The Disney Club,
Smile, The Saturday Show) is never any easy one, but the transition for Fearne
seemed absolutely effortless. Wherever it be in popular comedy shows (Celebrity
Juice,) Reality TV (Love Island) or national staples (Red Nose Day Coverage)
Fearne get the job done without ever changing herself.
Along with frequent collaborator Reggie Yates, Fearne has
presented some of the BBC’s flagship music programmes. These include; Top Of
The Pop’s on television and The Chart Show on the radio.
Fearne has also struck up a great friendship with television
presenter Holly Willoughby. The two captain the sides in the TV comedy
Celebrity Juice and can also be seen in other programmes such as Holly and
Fearne Go Dating.
If at any point you struggle to find Fearne whilst flicking
through your TV, you may want to try looking for her on her second
home……Twitter. Listening to her radio show you can tell she’s a massive fan and
if you want to hear about her favourite cakes or what she’s up to, this is the
only place to look (@fearnecotton.)
More recently she has taken over Jo Whiley's Live Lounge show on BBC Radio 1 where she has regular guests in to perform live renditions of their songs, as well as covering others. Below you can listen to a recent cover of Drake & Rihanna's 'Take Care' by Florence & The Machine.
